Korčula 26 March 2012
From Pelješac, by a boat we will reach the old town of Korcula where our guide will allow you to discover the most interesting monuments. Especially worth visiting is the cathedral on top of the hill, built by local masters in the Gothic Renaissance style and home to paintings by Tintoretto. Architecturally, it has a beautifully decorated facade, and a characteristic portal with statues of Adam and Eve.
Just a few steps from the cathedral is the home of Marco Polo with its breathtaking view of the town from the terrace. In your free time you may also stroll around the town and visit some of the many art galleries here.
On our way back we will take you to a wine celler where you may judge the quality of home-produced alcohols for yourself. There, according to Dalmatian custom, a warm welcome with home made herb brandy and sun-dried figs awaits you.
