Mostar 26&29 March 2012

Posted on by jola

Probably the most charming city on the Balkan Peninsula, Mostar will steal your heart forever. As Nobel Prize winner, writer Ivo Andrić, said: “When you spend a night in Mostar, it is not the sound that wakes you up in the morning, but the light. The light welcomes you on arrival, and follows you from morning to evening. It remains forever as the overwhelming memory of your visit to Mostar”, a truly incredible experience in this place where East meets West. This mixture of cultures, religions, Mediterranean and continental air, makes this city unforgettable.  Encounter a place of poetry, narrow pebble streets and scents of the Orient. Walk over the famous bridge,   listen to the glorious and tragic days of this place. We will visit one of many mosques here, and stop for a cup of real coffee in the Turkish House. Before our return we shall lunch in a pleasant restaurant, overlooking the turquoise waters of the Neretva river.
