Pelješac 31 March 2012

Especially for You.
We think that Pelješac peninsula is simply something you cannot miss! Part of the former Dubrovnik Republic, its salt production was a large contributor to its prosperity. In bygone times, with no refrigeration, salt was known as white gold. Pelješac is also famous for its beautiful scenery and excellent wine. We will take you to a wine celler where you may judge the quality for yourself. There, according to Dalmatian custom, a warm welcome with home made herb brandy and sun-dried figs awaits you. After that – Ston – a small town with a great history. Here, you may see the European Chinese Wall (5,5 km long); see where high quality salt is harvested from the Adriatic, right up to the present day; and try the best oysters in the country. We invite you to a local restaurant to enjoy fresh seafood while listening to traditional music.
