San Marco square is something you cannot miss. Not only is its Basilica one of the most precious monuments in the world, and an established toursit destination, but its unique atmosphere is redolent of captured time.
We will visit the Basilica of St. Mark, and admire its stunningly valuable interiors. Of especial note are the golden mosaics and the Pala d’Oro, or Golden Cloth, which is universally recognized as one of the most refined examples of Byzantine craftsmanship. With almost 2000 gems, it is a real Venetian treasure.
