Korčula and Pelješac by coach
The Ston salt pans, the European Chinese wall, Marco Polo's house and a glass of Dingač.

Famous for its beautiful scenery and excellent wine, the Pelješac peninsula is simply something you cannot miss. Part of the former Dubrovnik Republic, Pelješac is also famous for its salt production, a large contributor to the Republic's prosperity in times before refrigeration, when salt was known as white gold.
From Pelješac, by boat, we reach the old town of Korčula where our guide will help you discover the most interesting monuments. Especially worth visiting is the cathedral on top of the hill, built by local masters in the Gothic Renaissance style and home to paintings by Tintoretto. Just a few steps away is the home of Marco Polo with its breathtaking view of the town from the terrace.
On our way back we take you to a wine cellar where you may judge the quality of home-produced wine for yourself. There, according to Dalmatian custom, a warm welcome with home-made herb brandy and sun-dried figs awaits you. After that we visit Ston, where you can see the 5.5 km wall, try the best oysters in the country, and see where salt is still harvested from the Adriatic.
