Međugorje and Mostar
A morning in the world of Christianity and an afternoon in the world of Islam.

Morning in the world of Christianity and afternoon in the world of Islam — this could be a short description of our day trip to Međugorje and Mostar.
Međugorje is a small town in Bosnia and Herzegovina, from where reports stemmed in the early 1980s of appearances by the Virgin Mary to nearby village children. It has consequently become a site of religious pilgrimage. Authentic or not, the reports made this remote place famous.
We spend the second part of the day in Mostar, probably the most charming city on the Balkan peninsula. This mixture of cultures, religions, Mediterranean and continental air makes the city unforgettable. Walk over the famous bridge, listen to the glorious and tragic days of this place, visit one of the many mosques, and stop for a cup of real coffee in the Turkish House.
