Venice
The Basilica of St Mark and a gondola ride through the quiet canals.

There is no other place like Venice. Romantic, charming and mysterious, it is also a vivid symbol of the unending human struggle against the power of the sea. Built on over a thousand islands and islets, and connected by 416 bridges, this city simply must be seen.
We visit the Basilica of St Mark and admire its stunningly valuable interiors. Of especial note are the golden mosaics and the Pala d'Oro, universally recognised as one of the most refined examples of Byzantine craftsmanship. With almost 2,000 gems, it is a real Venetian treasure.
A visit to Venice would not be complete without a gondola ride. Pass through quiet canals and discover with us a different Venice, with its glimpse of everyday life.
