Mostar
The old bridge, a mosque and the Turkish House, then lunch overlooking the turquoise Neretva.

Probably the most charming city on the Balkan peninsula, Mostar will steal your heart forever. As the Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andrić wrote, when you spend a night in Mostar it is not the sound that wakes you in the morning, but the light.
It is not the sound that wakes you, but the light.after Ivo Andrić, on Mostar
This is a truly incredible place where East meets West. The mixture of cultures, religions, Mediterranean and continental air makes the city unforgettable. Encounter a place of poetry, narrow pebble streets and the scents of the Orient. Walk over the famous bridge and listen to the glorious and tragic days of this place.
We visit one of the many mosques here, and stop for a cup of real coffee in the Turkish House. Before our return we lunch in a pleasant restaurant overlooking the turquoise waters of the Neretva river.
